Forget the hype - these headphones are really not very good, they break. We had a pair given to us and used them at home ( not really heavy use!) they lasted a few months and then broke. When we went back to SC they just blanked
maybe we are unique in this but why is skull candy ducking and diving?? Are there more problems with these headphones?

Interestingly, we see a relatively low failure rate on Skullcandy headphones. While they are not the last word in build quality we see less returned Skullcandy headphones than say Sennheiser models (we sell similar quantities of each).
All I’m saying is that Skullcandy seem to have a bad reputation for quality, but it doesn’t seem to be reflected in the actual failure rate.

I’ve had my headphones(Skullycandy Lowriders) for a year and I just sent them in for a replacement because of the headphone jack, general wear and tear.
But I’ve tried almost all the headphones you can imagine, and by far I would prefer Skullycandy over Sony/Koss/Philips.
Mine have not broke into pieces and they have a really good sound too.

Sennheiser are deffently better quality than Skullcandy i used to work as a Avionics Engineer and Sennheiser also make pilots headphones so i think they know what their doing.
