Final VR2000

A Wealth of Applications

Primarily designed for gaming and VR, the VR2000 can also be utilised to get the most out of live recordings, intricate electronic music, ASMR and the latest advancements in Dolby Atmos technology. Unlike typical earphones, the VR2000 has been designed to provide a spatial listening experience with a naturally vast soundstage and the ability to hear each and every sound individually separated with absolute clarity.

The VR2000 is able to separate each sound and simultaneously deliver them accurately

This attention to detail and separation lends itself most effectively to gamers – especially those involved within a competitive domain. The ability to react in-game is heavily reliant on the quality of the audio, and the speed at which users notice sound effects that have been produced for this very reason. The VR2000 is able to separate each sound and simultaneously deliver them accurately, and naturally, within its expansive soundstage.

Final VR2000

‘f-Core DU’ Custom-Made Dynamic Driver

With the ‘f-Core DU’ driver, Final has managed to achieve a quality of sound that is unheard of in this price range. Completely redesigning driver parts such as diaphragms, voice coils, magnets, magnetic circuits, and adhesives, as well as production equipment. The material of the driver front housing is brass, which is less affected by magnetic force and has a higher specific gravity than general aluminium. In order to improve the time response performance of the diaphragm, the voice coil uses 30? ultra-fine CCAW and is assembled with a minimum amount of adhesive to thoroughly reduce the weight of the moving parts.

Further developments in housing design have resulted in a uniquely attractive appearance and comfortable fit for the VR2000. Shells made from ABS plastic provides durability, and the OFC cable is covered in a tough and flexible coating with an in-line 3 button control with a high-quality built-in microphone – ideal for online gaming, streaming and taking calls.

The VR2000 comes supplied with a number of accessories including a selection of final Type E silicon eartips, earhooks for added support, and a carry pouch for safe storage.

Campfire Audio – Stock Now in UK – Inflammable In-Ears!

It’s Hifiheadphones’ pleasure to announce that the full range of Campfire Audio products is now available from our outlet!

..and it’s a real test of our professionalism to be able to stop listening to one of these excellent models in order to try another one.

Campfire Audio Comet

This entry-level model features a vented, full range single balanced armature driver; we say ‘entry level’ as it’s the cheapest of the range, but it sounds as good, or better than a few more expensive models from other makers.

Warm and natural sounding, excellent detail, decent treble presence yet smooth. The Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber System (TAEC) helps to keep realistic and convincing imaging and wide soundstage.

Campfire Audio Orion

Next up, the Orion sports a single full-range balanced armature provides well controlled bass without going overboard. It’s a little more V shaped, with great soundstage and separation. There’s more treble presence but it preserves a smooth feel.

Campfire Audio Polaris

The Polaris features a hybrid balanced armature and dynamic driver design; the 8.5mm dynamic driver is housed in a ‘Polarity Tuned Chamber’ which increases performance, whilst the single BA benefits from the Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber System. Bass is warm and textured but restrained with midrange offering excellent vocals, and treble adding some well judged glitter.

Campfire Audio Lyra II

With a single full-range custom Beryllium PVD dynamic driver, the Lyra II exchanges some of the smoothness of the previous models for a little more cleanness in the treble region. Bass is very impressive with some good extension and midrange is very rich and natural sounding.

Campfire Audio Jupiter

The Jupiter’s two high and two low balanced armature drivers, plus the TAEC in this design dials the sharpness down a little, and provides a very engaging and musical presentation. Bass abounds, but only in a way which is fitting to the music played. Midrange has amazing clarity which is not forced, and treble is fully present but well tuned for those who may find listener fatigue a problem.

Campfire Audio Dorado

With hybrid dual balanced armature and beryllium PVD single dynamic driver/TAEC, the Dorado gives a little more bass presence and a midrange which is well suited for vocals. Treble is smooth, with good extension and an excellent sense of space.

Campfire Audio Vega

Featuring a single full-range 8.5mm non-crystalline diamond dynamic driver, the Vega packs a punch in the sub bass region, with some great texture down here. Mids are clear and snappy, with treble giving a little bit of sparkle and air. Soundstage and imaging are very impressive.

Campfire Audio Andromeda

The Andromeda sports a five BA design, with two for the lows, one for the mids and two for

the highs which benefit from the TAEC treatment. The result is an earphone that has become very well known in the industry recently, with lows feeling fleshy and palpable, mids smooth and natural, and treble strikes a good balance between being revealing and laid back.

Campfire Audio Atlas

With a full-range dynamic driver made from A.D.L.C. (Amorphous Diamond-Like Carbon), the Atlas model heads up the current in-ear range with some masterfully controlled bass presence, a warmish and clear midrange and a crisp, natural treble.

Campfire Audio Cascade

Not ones to rest on their laurels, Campfire have also produced a portable over-ear model in the Cascade. It’s user-tuneable to some degree using the supplied dampeners in the earcups but is sure to please all who try it. The dynamic drivers produce some excellent and well controlled sub-bass, with well balanced midrange and treble which draws the listener in to enjoy all that detail!

Dita Dream Earphone Review

Dita Audio Dream IEM Review

The Dita Dream are a dream to listen to with well recorded lossless files, transparent and effortless, with an excellent soundstage to boot, a true TOTL IEM.

Aesthetics, Build Quality and Accessories

The Dita dream come in a very high quality white card box, lift off the top and the Dita Dream are held in a velvet coated foam insert. Lift this up and you will find another compartment with the accessories underneath.
The Dream themselves are metal bodied, matte black IEM’s which look great and feel like the premium product they are. The cable is very well built and comes with the Awesome plug, and interchangeable plug system that really is nifty. The overall look and feel of these is excellent and they ooze quality as well as being rather understated.

The build quality of the Dita Dream is superb, the metal housing is sturdy yet relatively lightweight, the cable is thick and detachable, the Awesome plug is a system that allows you to change the plug from 3.5mm single ended to 2.5mm balanced, or many others that you can purchase separately. There is good strain relief throughout, and I see not issues arising from the build quality.

Accessory wise you get a very nice leather pouch to store them in, and a plethora of tips. You get S, M and L in 3 types of silicone tips, one is wide bore soft stem, one is wide bore stiffer stem, and the last one has a blue stem and slightly stiffer outer silicone. Also included is a flight adaptor, so you get everything you need to get started.

Comfort, Isolation, Cable Noise and Driver Flex

The Dita Dream are a dream to wear, the shape of the housing is perfect and fits my small ears well, the angle of the nozzle means they don’t protrude at and odd angle and you can achieve quite a deep fit with them. The cable to begin with is a little unruly and stiff, but I am sure it will soften up with some use.

Isolation is very good, blocking out a large amount of outside noise, they are vented but this doesn’t seem to affect the isolation much.

Cable noise is minimal as it is routed behind your ear.

Driver flex is present upon initial insertion, but is not a big problem.

Sound Quality

  • Bass

The bass is incredibly punchy and the sub-bass response is truly impressive, extending right down into the sub-bass without any early roll-off. Listen to some rock and you can feel the kick drums, listen to some EDM and the lows are equally as happy being full and vibrant, yet never sounding out of control. I have not heard rumble like this, from any other IEM, yet it isn’t over the top, the rumble only comes out when called for. The lows also do a good job at staying separate from the lower mids, not warming them up. I will also add the the layering and resolution down low is excellent.

  • Mids

The midrange is delicate, and wonderfully detailed, you can really pick apart the recording with these, hearing every nuance. The midrange is very clean, having the tendency to be a little more on the analytical side. Here you can hear every pick of a guitar string, every breath a singer takes, very insightful but not fatiguing. There is no sibilance up top either, and during harmonies you can clearly tell where each singer is positioned.

  • Treble

Not lacking in any way up top yet also not fatiguing, the highs are as good as the recording allows them to be. With well recorded music you will be presented with effortlessly extended highs that have excellent transparency and also air. Never fading to the back even during faster tracks, you can always hear the energy and detail up top.

Soundstage

The soundstage is both deep and wide, with excellent imaging and they give you a real sense of the space in ambient and live recordings.

Conclusion

The Dita Dream are a fun sounding IEM where everything is on a level playing field, nothing sticks out and nothing is missing. They are incredibly detailed, yet not analytical, however they do allow great insight into the recording should you want to analyse it. The space and air around each instrument is a highlight, and the transparency means you will definitely want to listen to better recorded lossless files on these. These have dynamics that mulitple BA designs cannot hope to match, they are a true TOTL dynamic driver IEM.
