This mod is designed to use the GS1000 salad bowl (circumaural) pads for the SR325is. Unadulterated the pads (whilst giving better sound stage and being more comfortable) do decrease bass response because the same sized driver is being employed in a larger space walled by a greater amount of non reflective acoustic foam.
